Apostle Paul heard that the brothers and sisters in the Thessalonian church, though they endured many hardships and persecutions, did not see their faith diminish; rather, it grew stronger, and their love for one another became increasingly abundant. Paul was deeply grateful and, before the churches, commended their perseverance and faith. He told them that God is righteous, that He sees their suffering, and that He will surely comfort the afflicted in the future and will judge their oppressors with justice. Paul prayed for them, asking that God would count them worthy of their calling, and by His power bring to completion every good desire and the work of their faith, so that the name of the Lord Jesus may be glorified among them.
