Paul wrote to the Colossian believers, thanking God for their faith and love. He told them that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God; all things were created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together. Through the blood shed on the cross of Christ, God reconciled all things to Himself. Though Paul suffered for preaching the gospel, he was full of joy because he was proclaiming the whole counsel of God.
