Jesus told about a man who had two sons. The younger son asked for his share of the inheritance and then went to a distant place, where he freely lived in dissipation and squandered his wealth. When he had spent everything, a famine came, and he became destitute and began to tend pigs, longing to fill his belly with the pods the pigs ate, but no one gave him any. He came to his senses and remembered that his father's servants have plenty of food, while he is starving here. He decided to get up and return to his father, confessing that he had sinned against heaven and against his father.
