Answers to common questions about the FaithSow App
FaithSow is a Bible picture-book app for family reading and Sunday school. Read or listen to stories, join interactive activities and continue learning through themed collections, everyday situations, daily character activities and the Faith Garden. Teachers can use classroom profiles, lesson resources and presentations.
Current stories focus on shared reading with ages 4–8; profiles support ages 0–3, 4–8 and 9–12. FaithSow is designed for family use through a parent or guardian account. If the iOS App Store displays a 9+ content classification for FaithSow, it reflects sensitive themes and references to conflict or weapons in some Bible stories; it is not a minimum age for using FaithSow. Parents can choose profiles and activities for shared reading; younger children should use FaithSow with active adult guidance.
The website offers the story library, themes, everyday situations and free previews of selected stories. The iOS and Android apps provide the full reading, listening, growth and classroom tools. Account-linked records are available on your other app devices after online synchronization. Offline downloads stay on the device where you downloaded them and must be downloaded again elsewhere.
Stories are child-friendly adaptations based on the Bible, not a replacement for Scripture. Memory verses and Scripture quotations retain the wording of each language’s designated translation, separately from adapted narration. Report text, translation or image issues through Feedback with the story name and location.
FaithSow supports 11 languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Polish and Indonesian. Switch in Settings → Language. Stories and audio depend on what is available in the selected language. For Scripture translations, see “Which Bible version does each language use?”.
Memory verses and Scripture quotations use the designated translations below. Adapted story narration is not the text of Scripture: 🇨🇳 Chinese — Union Version 2010 Shangdi Edition 🇺🇸 English — World English Bible (WEB) 🇯🇵 Japanese — Colloquial 1955 🇰🇷 Korean — Korean Revised Version 1998 🇪🇸 Spanish — Reina-Valera 1909 (RV1909) 🇵🇹 Portuguese — Almeida Atualizada (1911) 🇫🇷 French — Louis Segond (1910) 🇩🇪 German — Elberfelder (1905) 🇷🇺 Russian — Synodal Translation (1876) 🇵🇱 Polish — Biblia Gdańska (1881) 🇮🇩 Indonesian — Alkitab Yang Terbuka (AYT) Open Settings → Language to switch options.
Our creative team uses AI image tools to make illustrations, then checks and adjusts them against the story. We aim to support clear understanding and keep improving consistency across characters and scenes.
AI-assisted illustrations may show small differences in background objects, clothing or props between scenes. We keep improving consistency. If a difference makes a character or story hard to understand, report the story and scene through Feedback.
Register with email in the app, or use Apple or Google sign-in when offered on your device. An adult parent or guardian manages the account, with profiles for children. On another device, use the same account and its sign-in method. Follow the prompts to add a child when getting started.
For email-and-password sign-in, choose Forgot Password, enter your registered email and follow the reset email. Check spam as well. If you use Apple or Google sign-in, choose your original sign-in method; Apple or Google manages that account’s password.
Change the app language in Settings → Language. In Settings → Voice, choose and preview available system or cloud voices. Voices depend on your device, language and network. A Cantonese voice reads the existing Chinese text; it does not rewrite it into conversational Cantonese.
Open Manage Children & Classrooms to add or edit profiles, age groups and story settings. Switching children shows each child’s reading and growth records. Age groups adjust the experience, not a separate edition of every story. Some content may be unavailable because of profile settings, language or access rights.
Open About Us → Check for Updates and follow the instructions for your installation channel. Submit feedback from the Help Center with the story or page and steps involved. You can choose to attach diagnostic logs, or email [email protected].
Choose a mode on the story detail page: Quick focuses on reading; Bedtime includes reading, prayer and an optional breathing activity; the family Sunday-school flow can include character lessons, verses, games and discussion. In Settings → Sunday-school Mode, select a preset or change the steps and order. Reading must remain enabled. Available steps depend on the story; teachers should use a classroom profile.
After signing in, open Listening to choose stories by Bible book or create a playlist. You can resume, change speed and set a sleep timer. Book playback covers available stories, not a reading of the whole biblical book. Background, lock-screen and single-story repeat support depend on the installed app and voice engine; system speech pauses in the background.
Open themed collections from Home or the Library and choose an everyday or seasonal theme. Continue in the suggested order or choose a story yourself, without a weekly deadline. Sign in and select a child to see their progress. Each story still requires reading access.
Sign in, select the current child and open your reading plan from the Library. Create a plan, add stories and change their order, then follow progress or continue to the next story. Plans belong to the current profile; adding a paid story does not unlock it. Themed collections offer already curated reading selections.
Choose a topic such as friendship, emotions, honesty, gratitude, family habits or courage. Find a situation your child recognizes, look and talk together, read a related story, then try a small action in daily life. Situations and guidance depend on the language and available content.
There are 11 types: puzzles, Memory Garden, story sequencing, seek-and-find, counting, touch exploration, word finding, meeting characters, coloring, DIY storytelling and story locations. Available games vary by story. Reading flows with companion games normally select 4–5 games, fewer when there are not enough playable scenes. Quick and Bedtime modes omit companion games. Games can be skipped or opened from story details when available.
Tap Download on a story’s detail page in the app and wait for the content and resources to finish downloading. Open it from Offline Downloads while its license is valid. An active VIP subscription or an individual purchase is required. Website downloads are not supported, and classroom presentations require an internet connection.
Open Daily Character from Home to revisit available material from stories your child has read. A Try It activity in family discussion can become a small commitment, which parents can review and stamp on the commitments page. If there is no available reading history, start by reading a story together.
The garden brings together the current child’s reading footprints, collected verses and records related to character lessons, prayer and discussion. Revisit stories or activities there. Garden changes reflect reading and participation, not a rating of a child’s character or faith. Children’s and classrooms’ records are managed separately.
Open Bible World Journey and switch between path and list views to explore stories by era and place. Sign in and select a child to see their reading progress and use the next-stop recommendation. Available locations and stories depend on content and access rights.
Completing a story’s verse-memory activity saves the verse to the current child’s Faith Garden; finishing the story alone does not necessarily collect it. You can also save the daily verse in the garden. Sign in and select the right child profile to see their collection.
No. Recording starts only when you choose to record and grant microphone permission. Ordinary repeat-along does not need a microphone. Recording and uploading are separate actions. To save in the cloud, explicitly upload when prompted and check that the correct child profile is selected.
Add and switch to a Sunday-school classroom in Manage Children & Classrooms. Choose a story, review its lesson resources and available group activities, then open the classroom presentation. Text controls and compatible presentation remotes are supported; screen sharing uses your device’s system. Presentations need internet access, and resources depend on the story, age group, language and permissions.
A parent uses the teacher’s invitation code, selects their own children and consents to sharing. While approval is pending, the teacher sees names. Once approved, that teacher can read the garden and new reading footprints. The garden may reflect earlier progress, but detailed pre-enrollment reading history is not shared. Other families in the class do not gain access. Leaving stops sharing and keeps family records.
Signed-in adult parents create or join groups by private invitation, select participating children and confirm what is shared. Members can view authorized reading footprints and read-only gardens and send preset encouragements. Sharing may include eligible history from before joining. Change participation or leave in group settings. There is no public search, free-form posting or chat.
In the app, open your profile and tap the membership card to manage your subscription or choose an upgrade. Plans, prices and payment options are shown on the purchase screen.
Free stories can be read online; paid stories require active VIP access or an individual purchase. Available narration, character lessons, verses and games accompany unlocked stories, depending on language, age group and prepared content. Offline downloads also require a valid download license and available quota.
Open a locked paid story in the app and choose Purchase. The purchase and store confirmation screens show the applicable price, currency and channel. Individual purchases do not expire with a subscription. For guest purchases, follow the account-linking or restore prompts so you can recover access later.
Sign in to your original FaithSow account. Account-linked individual stories appear in Profile → Purchased Stories. Restore store subscriptions through Subscription Management → Restore Purchases, using the original Apple or Google store account. Guest buyers can use the restore option shown before signing in. If access is still missing, send the order number and purchase channel through Feedback, never passwords or verification codes.
To prevent abuse, subscribers have two quotas: (1) Concurrent retention: monthly ≤ 20 stories, yearly ≤ 50 (deleting one frees a slot immediately); (2) 30-day rolling downloads: monthly ≤ 30, yearly ≤ 60. Stories you have bought individually do NOT count toward either quota and can be retained offline indefinitely.
The 30-day grace period for subscription offline licenses starts when the subscription expires, not when renewal is canceled. During this period, downloaded subscription stories with a valid offline license remain available for offline reading; online subscription access is not extended. After the grace period, valid authorization must be restored to continue reading those stories offline. Individual story purchases do not expire when a subscription ends.
Subscription refunds depend on the purchase channel and the Terms of Service. For Apple App Store and Google Play purchases, apply to the relevant store under its refund policy. For Stripe web purchases, contact [email protected]; the Terms of Service and applicable channel rules apply. Submitting a request or having it approved does not mean the refund is complete or the funds have been received. Applicable statutory rights are unaffected.
The in-app single-story refund request option is available for paid orders within 7 days of purchase with no recorded offline download; redeemed or zero-price stories are excluded. Once the request is accepted for review, access granted by that purchase is suspended and is restored if the request is rejected. Other independent access rights are unaffected. Acceptance or approval does not mean a refund has been issued. For Apple App Store and Google Play purchases, also apply to the relevant store. These are in-app request eligibility conditions, not the final refund policy: refunds are governed by the Terms of Service and the relevant channel’s rules, including applicable exceptions. Statutory rights are unaffected.
