A father brought his suffering son to Jesus and knelt down to ask the Lord for help. Jesus commanded the evil spirit to leave, and the child was healed, filling father and son with thanks. Later Jesus and the disciples came to Peter’s house. Peter obeyed Jesus’ word, went fishing, and found a coin in a fish’s mouth, learning humble trust in the Lord’s provision.
This story reminds us that when we face troubles we cannot solve, we can humbly come to Jesus for help like the father did. Jesus has compassion and authority, and He can provide for people according to His word. We should admit our limits, put our faith in God, and learn to obey Jesus’ words with trust.
