Miriam and Aaron Speak Against Moses

Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses privately because he married a Cushite woman, questioning whether God spoke only through him. God heard their words. The Bible specifically states that Moses was the most humble person in the world. God suddenly summoned all three to the entrance of the tent of meeting and spoke in a pillar of cloud, sternly rebuking Miriam and Aaron, pointing out that Moses is a servant who is faithful in all of God's house, and God speaks with him face to face. Miriam immediately broke out in leprosy, her skin white as snow. Aaron begged Moses to pray for his sister, and Moses cried out to God to heal her. God said Miriam must stay outside the camp alone for seven days before she could be cleansed.
