In the east of Eden, God planted a beautiful garden with all kinds of pleasing trees and sweet fruit, and four rivers watered it. He placed Adam in the garden to work it and keep it. God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone,” and made Eve from Adam’s rib as his companion and helper. The two lived happily in Eden, caring for the garden, being together, and staying near to God.
God not only created us; He also lovingly prepared everything we need. He gave us family and friends as companions so that we would not be alone. Let us live with grateful hearts, cherishing every relationship God has given us, loving one another, and faithfully fulfilling the responsibility of caring for all that God has entrusted to us.
