Jesus was crucified

When they came to Golgotha, the soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross, and above his head they placed a board that read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” The soldiers cast lots for his garments. Two robbers were crucified with him. Darkness covered the whole land. Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” He cried out again loudly, and then he breathed his last.
