After the whole community heard the bad report from the ten spies, they wept and complained all night, even wanting to choose a new leader to return to Egypt. Only Caleb and Joshua tore their clothes and stood up courageously, saying the land was extremely good—if God was pleased with them, He would surely bring them in, and they should not fear the people there. But the people refused to listen and wanted to stone them. Then God's glory appeared to the people at the tent of meeting, and God said that none of the disbelieving people aged twenty and above would enter the promised land—they would wander in the wilderness for forty years. Only Caleb and Joshua, because they had a different spirit, would surely enter that good land.
When everyone was overwhelmed by fear, Caleb and Joshua went against the current, firmly declaring their faith in God. They did not deny the existence of difficulties but chose to believe God was greater than them. As a result, only those two among all Israel finally entered the Promised Land. In life, true courage is not the absence of fear but choosing to trust even when afraid. Even if the whole world says it's impossible, if God has promised, it's worth persevering until the end.
