Saul Is Converted by the Lord’s Light on the Road to Damascus

Saul continued to threaten the disciples of the Lord with death, and he set out for Damascus to arrest the believers. Suddenly a light from heaven shone around him, and he fell to the ground. He heard a voice saying, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” Saul asked, “Lord, who are you?” The Lord answered, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” For three days he was blind and did not eat or drink.
