God sent the second plague, and countless frogs came up from the river and covered the whole land of Egypt—entering the palace, bedrooms, beds, ovens, and kneading bowls, everywhere. Pharaoh finally begged Moses to pray to remove the frogs and promised to let the Israelites go to sacrifice. But as soon as the frogs were removed, Pharaoh immediately broke his word and hardened his heart, refusing to let the people go.
