Paul and Barnabas came to the synagogue in Pisidian Antioch. Paul stood up and told the history of God’s people—from Moses and David to Jesus. Many believed and asked them to come again the next Sabbath. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came. Some became jealous and spoke against Paul. Paul boldly said, “God loves everyone! We will bring the good news to all nations!” The Gentiles were overjoyed. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.
God’s love shows no favoritism. Paul boldly proclaimed in the synagogue: from Moses to David to Jesus, God has always kept His promises. When some rejected the message out of jealousy, Paul did not lose heart but turned to those who were eager to listen. This teaches us that God’s good news is for everyone, no matter who they are or where they live. God also gives us courage to share His love.
