One afternoon, Abraham saw three visitors near the entrance of his tent. He welcomed them warmly and prepared food and a place to rest. The visitors told Abraham and Sarah that Sarah would have a son the next year. Sarah laughed when she heard this because it seemed too hard to believe, but God reminded them that nothing is too hard for Him. Later, the visitors set out toward Sodom, and Abraham cared about the people there, so he prayed for them before God. Lot later welcomed two angels, and when they warned his family to leave danger, they were led to safety. This story shows us that Abraham welcomed guests with warmth and also prayed for others with love. God hears prayer and cares for people with mercy.
