Jesus Cleanses the Temple and Teaches from the Fig Tree

Jesus entered the temple and saw buying, selling, and confusion. He drove out those who were trading and declared that God’s house should be called a house of prayer. Then blind and lame people came to him, and he healed them, while children praised him in the temple. The next day, Jesus used a fruitless fig tree to teach the disciples that God desires more than outward appearance: he desires true faith, holy worship, and lives that bear good fruit.
