When Samson grew up, he went to Timnah and met a young woman. He told his parents that he wanted to see her again. On the way, a lion suddenly appeared, and God gave Samson special strength so he could face the danger bravely. Later Samson found sweet honey and shared it with his parents. At the wedding feast, Samson told a riddle about the honey, and the guests tried to learn the answer from the young woman. After Samson told her the answer, the guests shouted out the riddle's solution. Samson felt surprised and sad, and he finally went home disappointed.
Samson had special strength from God, but when he felt disappointed and angry, he found it hard to guide his own heart. This story reminds children that true strength is not only being strong in body. It also means stopping when we feel sad, pressured, or disappointed, speaking honestly, and learning to control our feelings. The gifts God gives us are meant to help us do what is right, not to let our impulses lead us.
