The Parable of the Good Samaritan

A lawyer asked Jesus, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" Then asked, "Who is my neighbor?" Jesus told of a man beaten by robbers, left half dead. A priest and a Levite passed by without helping. But a Samaritan, normally despised by Jews, stopped, bandaged the man's wounds, took him to an inn, and paid for his care.
