God Calls Abram

God called Abram to leave his hometown Ur and his relatives, and to go to a place that He would show him. God promised to make him a great nation, to bless him, to make his name great, and that all the families of the earth would be blessed through him. Abram set out in faith, taking his wife Sarai and his nephew Lot. They came to the land of Canaan, and God appeared to Abram, promising to give this land to his descendants.
