Paul and Barnabas planned a second journey to visit the churches, but they had a sharp disagreement about whether to take John Mark along. Barnabas wanted to give his cousin another chance; Paul felt he was unreliable because he had left them before. Unable to agree, they parted ways: Barnabas sailed to Cyprus with John Mark, while Paul chose a new partner named Silas. Though the separation was sad, God used both teams to do wonderful work and the churches grew stronger.
