Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

On a bright morning, little David set out from the hilltop pasture and walked with his father toward the LORD's house. Along the way, he saw a tired lamb resting on the shepherd's shoulders, an elderly couple in their pretty garden, and a basket full of sweet fruit. When the golden gates shone in the sunlight, little David sang as he gave thanks and ran into God's courts. With his father he laid fruit and flowers on the altar of thanksgiving, and on the way home he counted the stars, carrying a thankful heart into a sweet dream.
