Pentecost — the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, three thousand believed in the Lord.

On the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered in prayer when a sound like a mighty wind filled the house and tongues of fire rested on each one. The Holy Spirit filled them, and they praised God in languages they had never learned, so people from every nation could understand. Peter stood up boldly to preach Jesus' death and resurrection, and three thousand were baptized that day—the church was born!
