From a small room far away, the Apostle Paul writes a happy letter to his dear friends in Philippi. 'Be joyful in the Lord always—I will say it again, be joyful!' Don't worry about anything; pray about everything, and tell God what you need, and God's wonderful peace will guard your hearts. Paul also shares his secret: whether he has plenty or very little, whether he is full or hungry, he has learned to be content, because through the Lord who gives him strength, he can do all things. He thanks his friends for their kind gift and prays God's love and peace will be with everyone.
Paul taught us a wonderful secret for life: by the strength of the Lord we can be joyful and content whether life is easy or hard. Joy is different from passing happiness — it grows deep inside our hearts because we trust God. Contentment is being thankful for what God has already given us, instead of complaining or always wanting more. When we worry, we can pray, give every need to God, and let His peace fill our hearts. With God's strength, we can face any difficulty.
