The Lord gave Moses and Aaron the statute of the Passover: it was not an ordinary meal, but a holy remembrance for His covenant people. Those who wanted to join the Lordโs people were to come under His covenant before sharing the Passover. The lamb was to be eaten in one house, none of the meal was to be carried outside, and no bone of the lamb was to be broken. One instruction was given for the native-born and the sojourner. Israel did just as the Lord commanded, and on that very day the Lord brought them out of Egypt by their companies.
