Solomon spent thirteen years building his own palace, the House of the Forest of Lebanon, the colonnaded porch, and the Hall of Justice. He sent for Huram, a master bronze-worker from Tyre, to cast for the temple two great bronze pillars, the Bronze Sea, and ten elaborate bronze stands with their basins. With consummate skill Huram completed all the bronze work, and Solomon placed the gold and silver vessels inside the temple. At last every work was finished.
