David Unifies Israel

The tribes of Israel came to Hebron to see David, acknowledging that they were of the same flesh and blood as David. The elders made a covenant with David at Hebron and anointed him king over all Israel. David was thirty years old when he became king; he reigned over Judah in Hebron for seven and a half years, and thereafter he reigned over all Israel in Jerusalem for thirty-three years. David led his army to capture the stronghold of Zion and made it the City of David.
