Crossing the Red Sea

At the Red Sea, the Israelites had the sea in front of them and pursuers behind them, so they were very afraid. Moses told the people not to fear, but to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The pillar of cloud moved behind the camp to protect them, and the Lord used a strong east wind to divide the sea, so the Israelites crossed on dry ground. The Egyptian army followed into the sea, and the Lord threw them into confusion. When the sea returned, the people saw the Lordโ€™s power, feared the Lord, and trusted Him and His servant Moses.
