God tested Abraham, commanding him to take his beloved son Isaac to a mountain in the land of Moriah and offer him as a burnt offering. Trusting God, Abraham prepared wood and set out with Isaac and two helpers. On the third day, he and Isaac went up the mountain. Isaac asked where the lamb was, and Abraham answered that God would provide. At the appointed place, Abraham built an altar and placed Isaac on it. God stopped him in time and told him not to harm the boy. Abraham saw a ram and offered it instead of Isaac, naming the place Yahweh Will Provide. Isaac was not harmed, and father and son returned to the waiting helpers. The story shows Abraham's trust and God's provision.
This is a story about trust and God’s provision. Abraham entrusted what was most precious to God. Even though he did not understand the road ahead, he still believed that God is good. At the crucial moment, God called him to stop and provided a ram, so Abraham and Isaac experienced together that “Yahweh Will Provide” This teaches us to put God first, to pray and wait when we do not understand, and to trust God’s good guidance.
