Paul Appeals to Caesar

After Festus replaced Felix as governor, the Jewish leaders asked him to send Paul to Jerusalem for trial and secretly planned to kill him on the way. Festus kept the case in Caesarea. Paul said that he had done nothing wrong against the Jewish law, the temple, or Caesar. The accusers made many serious charges but could not prove them. After Paul appealed to Caesar, Festus found that Paul had done nothing deserving death and asked King Agrippa to help prepare the case report.
