John sees a brand-new heaven and a new earth. The shining holy city comes down from heaven, and its golden gates are always open. Jesus welcomes everyone with a warm smile. There is no night there, and there are no tears or pain. Children run and laugh with joy, families share delicious food together, and even the animals are good friends. God himself lives with his people, and his glory and the light of the Lamb shine on the city forever.
God promises that one day he will make everything new. In that brand new world, there will be no tears, pain, or death. This teaches us that no matter how many difficulties we face now, we can have full hope, because God will finally wipe away all our tears and let us be with him forever, enjoying complete peace and joy.
