After Samson lost his strength, the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes, took him to Gaza, bound him with bronze chains, and made him grind grain in prison. Yet Samson's hair slowly began to grow again. Later, the Philistines held a great feast and offered sacrifices to their god Dagon, celebrating that they had captured Samson. They brought Samson out to amuse the crowd and placed him between the two pillars that supported Dagon's temple. Samson prayed to Yahweh and asked for strength one more time. He put his hands on the two pillars and pushed with all his might, and the whole temple came crashing down. In his final prayer Samson leaned on God again, and in his death he struck down more people than he had during his life.
