Cain and Abel

Adam and Eve's two sons, Cain and Abel, each brought an offering to God. Abel offered the best from his flock, and God was pleased with his offering. Cain brought produce from the ground, but his offering was not accepted. Cain became very angry. God warned him to rule over the sin in his heart, but Cain did not listen. In the field, he did a terrible thing and hurt his brother Abel, and Abel was no longer with him. God asked Cain where his brother was, but Cain said he did not know. God punished Cain and made him a wanderer, yet also placed a mark on him to protect him from being harmed by others.
