The Wall Was Completed

Sanballat and Tobiah tried again and again to harm Nehemiah. They invited him four times to meet at the plain of Ono, hoping to hurt him; each time Nehemiah said he was doing a great work and could not come down. The enemies sent threatening letters, falsely accusing Nehemiah of plotting a revolt. They even hired a false prophet, Shemaiah, to lure him to hide in the temple. Nehemiah saw through the trick and refused. Despite all the threats inside and out, Nehemiah stayed focused on the work God gave him, and the wall was finished in just fifty-two days. The surrounding enemies were filled with fear, because they knew this work had been done by God Himself.
