Samson came to the fields and found that things had not happened the way he had hoped, so his heart was very sad. Later, he thought of a special plan and let foxes run through the Philistines' fields, where the fields and olive trees were damaged. The Philistines were very surprised and upset. Samson went to rest in a rocky cave near Etam, and men from Judah came with new ropes to bring him to the Philistines. God's Spirit moved Samson with great power, and the ropes broke away from him. With the strength God gave, Samson drove away the Philistine soldiers. Later he became very thirsty and asked God for water. God split open a rock and fresh water flowed out, so Samson regained his strength and thanked God for providing for him.
